STEP
ONE: Remove step plate and panel
1) Remove the plastic door step plate by carefully
pulling it up by hand.
2) Remove the plastic panel that is adjacent to the
door and under the dash.
3) Expose the wires that are behind the panel and
find the black wire that has the blue stripe.
STEP
TWO:
Run wire from boards into vehicle.
1) Run the wire from under the running board up behind
the door hinge and through the rubber housing for
the speaker wires. FIG A
2) Pull the wire inside the vehicle so there is no
excess hanging in the door or under the running board.
The plastic covering may be removed on the wires that
are inside the vehicle.
STEP
THREE: Attach Ground wires.

1) Find a suitable place to attach the ground wires.
There are bolts screwed into the wall of the vehicle
on both sides.
2) Expose 1" of the ground wires (black).
3) Loosen a bolt and wrap the black wire around it,
then re-tighten.
4) Repeat the process on the opposite side.
STEP FOUR: Attach positive
wires.

1) Cut through the black wire with the blue stripe
on the passenger side. The dome light should go out
at this point.
2) Run the positive wire from the driver's side under
the dash to come out on the passenger side.
3) Splice the positive (red) wires from both the driver
and passenger sides into the black wire with the blue
stripe.
4) Tape any exposed wires and check that both the
dome light and running board lights operate correctly
when the door is open.
STEP
FIVE: Replace Panels
1) Snap the side panels back on.
2) Snap the door kick plates back on.
