STEP
ONE: Determine proper running board length
1) Measure from the rear of the front wheel well,
to the front of the rear wheel well. This should be
your overall running board length.
2) Measure from end tip to end tip of the running
board to determine how much needs to be cut down.
(if any)
3) Step two minus step one is how much needs to be
cut off the board.
STEP
TWO:
Cut running boards to proper length
1) Remove the 4 nuts holding the removable end cap
in place.
2) With the end cap removed, measure and mark a straight
line to cut off the proper amount of the board. (determined
in step 1.3)
*NOTE- At this time there should be no light wires
under the board.
3) Using a table saw or hacksaw cut along the marked
line thru the plastic
and aluminum.
4) Replace the end cap and tighten it with the four
bolts and nuts making
sure it is square with the rest of the board. The
end cap should slide
back over the board about ¾" - 1".
STEP
THREE: Determine proper bracket placement
1) Measure from the inside of the front fender well
back
3) Place brackets at 16", 30", 51",
and 63"
STEP FOUR: Loosely bolt brackets
to vehicles
1) Tek screw hanger brackets into the pinch weld
2)
Loosely bolt the brackets to the hanger brackets
3) Place the running board on the brackets with the
support
Bolts falling thru the slots
in the foot of the bracket
4) Hand tighten the board to the brackets using 5/16"
lock nuts
5) Slide board in or out to desired location
6) Tighten down lock nuts under running board
STEP
FIVE: Tighten brackets
1) Push board tight against vehicle and tighten bolts
